Easy Battery Checking Tips

Most people does not know how to check the battery in their car, although battery faultit is one of the main causes of problems with vehicles. Having a flat battery can result in your car not starting and move on to bigger problems. If your car  fail to start, checking the battery is the first option before looking round the engine . When you car is acting up and you suspect it is the battery there are a number of things that you can do to check your car’s battery to find out what the problem is.
By understanding and knowing how to check the battery in your car you can save some money and time on a mechanic by doing it yourself. It is a simple job when you know how. A common problem when it comes to car battery faults are having a low level of fluid, your battery not being charged properly and even having the wrong battery in your car altogether. By checking for these faults you may be able to fix your car and get it running again much more quickly.
If you battery has removable covers you are able to check the levels of fluid inside the cells, you need to make sure that they are all high and to the correct level. If even one cell is low on fluid your battery will show up a fault. The fluid is highly dangerous so you must make sure not to get  on you however by topping up any cells that are low with water should solve your problem.
Although you need to be a trained mechanic to be fully aware that your battery is not charging properly. You can do this by starting your car and putting all your lights on full beam. Then if you rev your engine you should be able to see the lights get brighter and then dimmer and if your car does not do this there may be a problem and you should speak to an engineer.
