Meet with Celebrity Babies of 2012

There’s definitely a lot of Baby Love going around. Celebrity babies are big news when it comes to the showbiz world, especially as the new bouncing bundles of joy are a strong indication of the fashion stars of the future. In this report, BOLA AKINBOADE-BELLO presents to you this year’s newest celebrity additions.

CYNTHIA OKPALA

MTV Base’s Nigerian VJ Cynthia Okpala-Mbanefo better known as C-Von and husband Ozoemena Mbanefo became proud parents of a baby boy this year. Cynthia gave birth in a U.S hospital. The 27-year-old was in the US for several months waiting for her EDD. C-Von exchanged wedding vows with her partner Ozoemena Mbanefo on Saturday, October 23, 2010 in Lagos. The wedding, which held at the Sheraton Hotels, in Ikeja, was attended by very close family members and friends. C-von was in 2007 announced winner of the national MTV VJ Search. She has over the years established herself as one of the most prominent VJS across the continent. The Ebonyi State University graduate has also had a few stints acting, starring as ‘Ify’ in ‘Tinsel’, the MNet TV Series.

DAREY ART ALADE & WIFE

Darey Art Alade and his beautiful wife Deola welcomed a gorgeous baby girl born on Friday August 3, 2012 at Queen Charlotte and Chelsea hospital in London. The baby weighed 2.4kg.in a London hospital. It's the couple's second child. Their first child, Femi was born on December 28, 2007. Darey and Deola tied the knot on February 17, 2007.

BISI IBIDAPO-OBE

Nollywood actress, Bisi Ibidapo-Obe delivered a baby girl on Friday, November 30, 2012 in a private maternity hospital in Lagos. She was discharged almost immediately after delivery and returned to her Magodo, Lagos residence. It would be recalled that the identity of the baby's father led to a series of controversies; the actress a few months back claimed that former member of the House of Representatives Dino Melaye had a secret relationship with her for many months before impregnating her. Melaye, a married man with children however denied the relationship.

LARA GEORGE WELCOMES BABY GIRL

Gospel singer and member of the now-defunct KUSH band which consist of Emem, TY Bello and a forth male member also welcomed her baby girl this year. She delivered the baby girl in the United States. This is her second child with husband, Gbenga George who got married few years ago and already has a son, Adeoba Alexander George.

LOLO 1 OF WAZOBIA FM
Celebrity On Air Personality, Omotunde Davies, popularly known as Lolo 1 of Wazobia FM gave birth to a baby boy on Friday, March 9, 2012 in a Lagos hospital. Lolo is one of the top presenters on pigin English oriented radio station in Lagos. She became known when she was co-presenting with Yaw on Wazobia FM. She later had her own belt with co-presenter, IGOS, where they both present Oga Madam for Office.


TIMAYA & GIRLFRIEND

The Eberipapa I of Bayelsa, Enetimi Odom aka Timaya also joined the league of latest father in town. His girlfriend gave birth to a baby girl. Timaya and his girlfriend, Barbara has been dating for over two years before the baby came. And Timaya got her a well furnished apartment in the heart of Ikeja, Lagos and bought her a GL Fomatic 450 Benz valued at about N13m when she told him about the pregnancy.Although Timaya also revealed few days after his girlfriend/baby mama put to bed, that he’s not ready for marriage yet because he is at a point in his career where he has to muster all his talent and youth to remain a top-of-the-mind brand.

MOSUN FILANI DELIVERS BABY GIRL
Popular Yoruba actress, Mosun Filani gave birth to a baby girl on Wednesday November 28, 2012 at a hospital in Lagos. Mosunmola married the son of a former police chief and Niger State Military administrator, Simeon Oduoye, early this year.

UFUOMA EJENOBOR

31- year old TV personality, model and actress gave birth to a bouncing baby boy on Wednesday 10th 2012 at a private hospital in Lagos. Ufuoma is happily married to Steven McDermott; they tied the knot last year.

2FACE IDIBIA & PERO ADENIYI
2Face Idibia also became a proud father of a baby boy this year as his baby mama and ex-girlfriend Pero Adeniyi put to bed in the US couple of months back. The baby was delivered on April 8th, 2012 in Washington DC.The baby boy is Pero’s 3rd child for 2Face and is 2Face’s sixth child.


NNEKA & ISAAC MOSES

Isaac and Nneka Moses are both television presenters. For many years, they have anchored Goge Africa, bringing to light the rich cultural heritage of the continent.Nneka & Isaac Moses also welcomed their baby boy this year. This is their first child after many years of marriage. The couple waited for 13 years before being blessed with the adorable bundle of joy who was christened Kamara Isaac Moses.

CHIOMA AJUNWA DELIVERS TRIPLET
Nigeria first ever & only Individual Olympic Gold Medalist, Chioma Ajunwa turned Divisional Police Officer (DPO) was blessed with triplets. The babies (2 boys and a girl) were delivered on September 3rd, 2012.

Popular singer-music producer Samuel Chuks Oguachuba popularly known as Samklef and wife Yvonne announced the arrival of their bouncing baby boy on Friday, March 30, 2012. The producer-singer who has laced beats for Wizkid, Overdose and Ruggedman tied the knot with his wife Yvonne (nee Iheduru) on December 28, 2011 at the bride’s family house in Imo State.

FUNKE ETTI
Fast rising Yoruba actress, Funke Etti also welcomed her baby boy. She delivered on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at a Lagos hospital. Funke secretly got married to the father of her baby last year and since had hidden the identity of the father of the baby. The Secret father bought her a jeep when she got pregnant 9months ago and bankrolled a movie for her.





EASY LIZY

Female fuji music act, Elizabeth Olapeju, popularly known as Easy Lizy also delivered a baby girl this year. The fuji hip-hop star gave birth to the new tot on Sunday, February 5, 2012, at a private hospital in College area of Isolo, Lagos.The musical act, who once fixed her wedding(with Abiodun Abbey) for January, 2012, had to cancel it because of the rigours involved in the preparation considering her condition of going through the nine months course.A new date will be fixed for her wedding with the man who means the world to her.

Easy Lizy who is signed on Stingomania Records broke into prominence years back with her performance on stage at an event. She later released an album which further cemented her place as a music star to cheer. Her single is currently running on airwaves.

BISOLA BADMUS
Yoruba actress Bisola Badmus is also one of the celebrities who became a mother this year. She welcomed her bouncing baby boy in Lagos couple of months back.

LATE RAPPER MC LOPH

MC Loph’s fiancée, Nkiru, delivered of a bouncing baby boy on Tuesday, 20^th March, 2012. Nkiru was pregnant at the time of her fiancé death. The baby is acarbon copy of his late father. It would be recall that MC Loph died in a car accident with his sister along the Benin/Ore road last year on his way to his traditional weddingin the east.

ALEC GODWIN

Barely five months after his second wedding, entertainment businessman and Gospel R&B singer Kefee’s ex-husband ,Alec Godwin became a proud father of a baby girl. Alec’s wife delivered at a Lagos hospital on July 25, 2012. Alec ended his three-year marriage with Kefee Obareki in 2008 after protracted marital problems.

OBIWON OBIORA

Singer Obiwon and his wife dated for 4 years before getting married in September 2011. And God blessed the union with a beautiful baby girl this year.

 

ANITA UWAGBALE

Ex-Beauty queen, Anita Uwagbale Iseghoni gave birth to her third child, a babygirl on November 9, 2012 at Howard County General Hospital, Maryland. The babywas christened Moilen Alexandria Elizabeth. Anita already has two boys.

Former Tinsel star Matilda Obaseki and her hubby Arnold also welcomed their bouncing baby boy into the world this year.

Terry G and his fiancee, Mimi Omoregbe welcomed a baby boy on Thursday Nov 1, 2012. The fiancée gave birth in a UK hospital.
